GORDON WATERHOUSE MEMORIAL MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP 2023
ZENITH THEATRE, McINTOSH STREET CHATSWOOD

TUESDAY 6 JUNE 2023, 6.30 PM FOR 7.00 PM

This annual scholarship was inaugurated in memory of Gordon Waterhouse, a highly esteemed member of the Rotary Club of Chatswood, who dedicated his life to both music and service above self.
The scholarship honours Gordon’s memory and provides an opportunity for the young musicians to be recognised for their performance excellence, citizenship and their service to music within their school. The Scholarship also raises awareness of Rotary among our young citizens and fosters Rotary ideals of service.

Participating schools nominate a student at a high performance level who makes an outstanding contribution to the school in both music and service. The schools participating are Chatswood High, Killara High, Mercy Catholic College, Roseville College, Shore School, St Puis X College, Willoughby Girls.

An expert panel interview each of the students prior to the performance and makes an Award on both the performance and the interview. The selected student receives an award of $2,000 to further their music education, and each finalist receives an award of $200.
